I've been working on a character design for the past four DAYS. There's so many different choices when it comes to steampunk/victorian!! Long skirt, short skirt, lace, puffy, straight, tight, loose, corset, long sleeved short sleeved, shorts, dress *explodes* 0-o I think I'm almost done, though XD The color scheme is a whole other story... >_>;;
Anyway, the character's name is Lyra Kettell. X3 I think it sounds cute. She's from the story I'm messing around with. I never really was a good writer, and I probably never will be, but that's where the fun comes in.... I guess...

sorta starting to get the hang of hands... mainly different perspectives, like looking from below, or from above...

I always draw them facing the left, and I have my own anatomy chart XD if I decide I'm going to draw with correct sizing and proportion, and I start with the head, I'll still end up drawing the head too big for the body X3 And I always tie in a rainbow, piano, the color purple, cloud/strings/stars/moon, one, a few, or all X3

◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
uhh... practice? use refference? ask someone better for help? XD

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
depends... usually anywhere from 3 hours to a week...

◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
uhh, what music DON'T I listen to when I draw? XD It depends where the inspiration for the pic came from. If it's kind of fantasy/surreal usually TBM stuff, and if it's just weird usually MSI and.. so on. but if it came out of nowhere, my iTunes is already on shuffle.

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
I don't try to come up with and idea, it just happens at once XD

◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
hmm... Pencils, cuz they aren't permanent X3

PURPLE definately.

uhh, mine's kind of a mix of manga and my own thing... but i like manga, or different cartoon styles.

Something in Graphic Arts... i really wanna be like J.R. Goldberg X3 Makin comics and paintings and prints and sellin 'em..

IT'S FREEZING!!! And it was my first time on a plane. The stewardess was awesome!! Hee hee. She was a quirky and fun. She said she owned an art gallery, and then she looked at me once before we boarded the plane and started guessing my age, 2 years off, then she said, 'actress or artist' kinda freaked me oout, since i do voice acting a bit and yeah, i think i'm an artist X3 Not a great one, but yeah. She was fun >w<
Anyway, I'm such a brilliant person that I forgot my laptop charger all the way back in Florida and I have 3 hours to use this between today, tomorrow, and Monday. I think I can do it. ... i better go now.. BYEE

Well, we're drawing self portraits in art class. Mine sucks. You'll see it soon. Anyway, I have art first period, so I was in the first class to almost finish it. Then, throughout the day I get a bunch of my friends who are in later art classes saying that she was showing mine as an example WHY!? X3 at least they can recognize it... hehe..
And, for funz, is anyone else dyslexic? If you use overlays, what's your color? I'm yellow =9 LIKE LEMONZ. If you ARE dyslexic and never heard of overlays, you should talk to a reading teacher. =3 they're super awesome!
